The Crossing

The Cape 2 Cape Crossing is roughly 19 miles as the seagull flies. The paddlers will launch off of the beautiful beach behind the Sunset Beach Inn in Cape Charles Va. After paddling under the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and around Fisherman’s Island it will be a straight shot to the Cape Henry Light where the contestants will be challenged with open ocean conditions and will cross two major shipping channels. Once at Cape Henry Light, they will round a buoy and proceed to the finish line at the First Landing State Park. This event will challenge the very best paddlers in the world.
